Dr. Kevin Teeluckdharry
Obstetrician-Gynecologist & Family Physician
Dr. Kevin Teeluckdharry holds Canadian certification in both Family Medicine (CCFP) and Obstetrics & Gynecology (FRCSC) — dual training that brings together specialist women's healthcare with a broader whole-person medical perspective.
His postgraduate training was completed entirely in Canada — Family Medicine at Dalhousie University, then specialist OB-GYN at the University of Toronto, with clinical experience at Mount Sinai and Sunnybrook. She Matters! was founded to give women in Mauritius access to that same standard of care, without the need to travel abroad.
At She Matters!, Dr. Teeluckdharry leads the clinical practice — integrating specialist OB-GYN expertise with the broader perspective of a Family Physician. He is particularly focused on hormonal health, menopause, preventive care and empowering women to make confident, informed decisions about their health.

Sonia Teeluckdharry

Sonia Teeluckdharry is the visionary behind She Matters! Having witnessed firsthand the standard of women's healthcare available in Canada, she believed that women in Mauritius deserved access to the same thoughtful, comprehensive and empowering approach. From that conviction, She Matters! was born — a dedicated women's wellness hub bringing together health, prevention, lifestyle, skin wellbeing and confidence, with an ambition to serve women across the Indian Ocean region and beyond.
Sonia holds a Master's degree in Language Studies and built a distinguished career in academia and with the Government of Canada, progressing through senior leadership roles and developing deep expertise in communication, education and working with diverse communities. Driven by her passion for women's health, she pursued specialized training in women's health, lifestyle and wellness coaching — including further education through Wells College in Australia and Harvard Medical School.
Her conviction that skin health, confidence and overall wellbeing are deeply connected led her to specialize further in advanced skincare and aesthetics. She completed her Skin Care Specialist training in Toronto before advancing her studies with the Canadian Board of Aesthetic Medicine (CBAM), where she undertook advanced training in skin health, medical aesthetics and cosmetic dermatology.
Sonia's philosophy is simple and deeply held: a woman cannot continually give from an empty cup. She believes every woman deserves to prioritize her own physical, emotional and personal wellbeing — without guilt — and to make conscious choices that support long-term health and confidence. Today, she works alongside her husband Dr. Kevin Teeluckdharry, combining her experience in education, leadership, wellness coaching and advanced skin health to support a truly holistic approach to caring for the whole woman.
